Mindful Mondays

{ Mindful Mondays }

  A series on Mondays (as often as possible) that calls all things I am doing, thinking, and creating together in one space. A good starting place for the week and a way to ease into Monday.

What I am.....

:: reading- I had to stop Saint Monkey halfway through because a book I have been waiting for on hold finally arrived at the library and I only have two weeks to read it before it moves onto the next person. The book is The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton. I'll have to breeze back over to my other book as soon as I am finished. A friend sent me a set of back issues of Tea Time Magazine so I can't wait to dive into the magazines and look at all the lovely pictures and recipes.

:: listening to - a new Diana Krall CD will arrive on Tuesday. Oh my I am super excited. I think my husband and I will have to enjoy the music with a good bottle of wine this upcoming weekend.

:: studying- cookbooks. A few I borrowed from the library. So many cookbooks!

:: creating- in the midst of Valentine gifts and some items for the etsy shoppe. busy bee!

:: cooking- another Monday night of pork. Lemon, Olive oil, and thyme marinated pork chops. Served with wild rice and Brussels sprouts.

:: educating - myself on how to use our DSLR camera better. I want to explore all the possibilities of taking a great picture.

:: feeling- a bit drained because things over the weekend went a bit awry and it is time to regroup

:: thinking - about how we took a huge step with our finances last week that will lead us to a more secure future. It is a huge relief and I am so happy!

    1. We bought a Nikon D3100 about four years ago before the birth of our second peanut. It is well worth the investment. Thanks for joining up again. I love having ya!

  2. I enjoyed playing with my camera every chance I got and now it's second nature to take a photo most of the time.
