Yarn Along: August

:: Yarn Along - August ::

I finished a second shawl that I had worked on and put down then came back to this summer. This isn't the best picture but I wanted to share it before the fall. It is a bit too warm to wear it right now but I am looking forward to wearing it this fall. And with cooler weather in mind I am about three-fourths the way done with the Beech Cowl by Barbara Collins. I found it on Quince & Co. and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to knit it. The cowl is knit with such beautiful earthen colors that says "It's Autumn!" I am loving this knit and I have enough yarn left over to knit another. I might make one for my sister in law for Christmas. I know she will like it.

I finished reading "Silent Voices" by Ann Cleeves. It is part of her Vera Stanhope series. I love her books and a good mystery until the end. I can never guess who it will be and that is part of the fun of reading her books. I picked up "The Woman in White" by Wilkie Collins. I have never read anything by Collins.

  5. That's a beautiful shawl! I love the yarn! (I'm on a bit of a blue kick right now . . . even though I generally gravitate towards pinks/corals.)

    I'd love if you'd link up at my first ever Yarn Fanatic Party!

      I don't have blocking wires yet so I had to improvise with the edging. But thank you. I can't wait to wear it!
