Stained Glass Windows & Tea
:: Stained Glass Windows & Tea ::
This week has been one of those where I feel like I never sit down because there is something needing my attention. Call it nesting or just plain old procrastination but I was getting tired really quickly. I decided yesterday to stop and just spend some time crafting with the girls in the morning. The laundry, dishes, and baby preparations can wait. I turned on my newest teapot and made some Earl Grey. Then frothed some milk for a deliciously yummy tea. These are two new gifts that I received for the holidays. I am becoming quite obsessed with tea. It just hits the spot every time.
I had no clue what we were going to make but I decided that we needed some color in our home on these dreary cold winter days. So, we experimented with stained glass windows. They turned out beautifully. I used card stock circles, tissue paper, and laminating sheets basically whatever we had on the craft shelf.
I let the girls rip up and cut up pieces of tissue paper to use to create the stained glass effect. We sandwiched the tissue paper and rings between two sheets of laminating pockets.
They look so cheery and happy hanging on our door. A little tea and color can go a long way when it come to slowing down and enjoying the moment.
If you have any questions about how to make these, leave me a note and I'll get back to you.
Happy Thursday!
Beautiful! We love making these and they always bring a little bit of cheer to our days when they are hanging in the window.
ReplyDeletethat is a great craft and I love how the light through the windows make the colors deeper!
