After the Rains

:: After the Rains ::

We had a long weekend of rain and wind like most people did. It makes for tedious moments when all we want to do is be outside and the cool temperatures before they disappear into the summer heat and humidity. I know I won't miss the weather once we move back up north in July. The girls and I did enjoy a bit of puddle jumping on Friday. Miss E insisted on saving as many worms as possible along the way. She is my sensitive spirited child.

Saturday and Sunday was mostly composed indoor time. Movies, building forts, and riding bikes in the garage. Miss E had her first ballet photo shoot. It was fun to watch her get so excited to wear her costume. I was also able to make and finish a new bag before our trip this weekend.

The Portlander Bag out of the book Everyday Handmade: 22 projects for the modern sewist

Finally, on Sunday evening and yesterday we were able to get outside and play! I can't wait until we get moved and have a bigger yard. Our tomatoes are flowering...oh, I hope they survive our move!

The rest of the today and tomorrow are preparations for our trip to Maryland. We are off to look at homes and visit with family. Say a prayer and keep a space for us as we look and decide on a new home. Big things are coming our way!

  1. Sorry about the rainy weekend, we were blessed with sunshine and summer like temperatures...finally. It was lovely.

    All the best with the house hunting. Enjoy the time with your family.

    Fingers crossed the tomatoes plants make the move safely :)
