Turning Four...
:: Turning Four ::
Our beautiful gal, Miss E, turned four years old yesterday. She woke up with a smile on her face because she knew it was her special day. We had our honorary breakfast with birthday candle ( a tradition my mother started with my brothers and I when we were little). It was her day so we went to the park and daddy brought a special picnic lunch. The day ended with a dinner of her choosing, gifts, and cake! She told us that it was the best birthday ever.
On the whole, the day was busy with running about and having fun but I did have a moments when I would drift back four years ago and reminisce about the day she was born. Miss E was not an easy birth and she had to be coaxed out into the world. My husband and her daddy was deployed and it was up to my mom to support her only daughter through about 15 hours of labor. For that I am eternally grateful to my mother. It wasn't perfect with daddy being gone but no the less it was magical. Our life changed forever that day and it changed again two years later with the birth of her sister. I didn't realize it before children but when you have a child, a part of your is given away to another living being and walks out there in the world. Without knowing it, Miss E changed my life forever because becoming a mother is the best job I will ever have in my entire life. We have good days and bad days but every day is an adventure and she and her sister ( and more siblings to come). She is a shining star and I can't wait to see what the future holds for our sweet gal.
She is playing tooth fairy with new sleepover dolls. |
Happy birthday to your sweet child :)
