Joining Ginny of Small Things
I got completely sidetracked this past weekend with a project that showed up in my inbox. A cozy nook throw from Lion Brand. Lo and behold I threw caution to the wind and started this throw. It is an easy knit and I really love the natural color with the splash of red. Sadly, that meant that my shawl is barely started. I had more finished but I realized that I skipped a row and that meant undoing all my work. I took a deep breath and undid my work. My husband sat there in awe that I didn't cry about it but I am such a perfectionist that it would bother me more that it was wrong. So- I started over!
I am still reading my Lenten books and I finish The Uninvited Guests. Honestly, I can't even tell you what that book was about. When I finished the last page I sat there feeling kind of silly. Did I miss the point completely? Or was it so late and I so tired that my brain just stopped working? Bah! I am starting a new book, The Bird Sisters and leafing through a Jamie Oliver cookbook.
What are you knitting?
I read three pages last night of my book and couldn't remember what I read, that meant it was time for bed ;) Love that you were inspired to immediately cast on something new! It's a great feeling, isn't it??
ReplyDeleteI used to be a perfectionist and wondered why I couldn't finish anything..now I knit and crochet mistakes and all. I don't know if I have ever made anything without some kind of mistake..oh, well I just enjoy knitting and crocheting:) :) I will have to keep your books in mind for some great summer reading...
ReplyDeleteOooo! I like that blanket pattern. Can't wait to see it as it progresses.
ReplyDeletethat yarn is lovely. what is it called, such a great color way. can't wait to see the throw completed. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about the shawl, it is so hard to unravel those stitches.
