"Let them eat cake" 

We haven't had a good cake in such a long time. It isn't something we indulge in much because as we all know, everything in moderation. So, yesterday we decided to make a cake. Miss E and I decided on Brownie Cake with Caramel-Peanut Topping from Baking by Dorie Greenspan. 

And it was delicious....a cup of hot coffee and a little slice of this cake. Everyone was quite pleased with the outcome. I love a good cake. James wants a Lane Cake for his birthday so the search is on for a great recipe.
