We're going to the zoo tomorrow and Mama said we could stay all day....

Yup, that's what we were singing yesterday because we were really excited about the zoo and we love all things Raffi. Even though it is ( according to my standards) unreasonably hot and humid here, we braved it and had a great day at the zoo. I always love taking the girls to a place with animals and gardens. My favorite part is "Butterfly Hollow" where they have an enclosed garden and many butterflies. I love the fairy theme. Miss E loved the zebras and Ce-Ce loved the Siamangs. Part of me always feels sad that the animals aren't living in their native lands but I appreciate the beauty of flora and fauna that this diverse earth gives us. I am happy that zoos and preserves exist because I think it helps everyone appreciate mother earth just a bit more.
