Joining Ginny from Small Things
It is complete! The Shoreline Lace Shawl that I have been working on for weeks is finally finished. I had a flubs along the way but all in all it looks pretty good. I really like it and can't wait to take it on vacation with us next month. I promise that I will have much better pictures next month. But here it is for now....
I have started work on a hat for our sweet little baby. This is the first time I am using circular knitting needles and I love them! I am also working on little animals for the girls but haven't progress this week so no pictures to show for now.
On the reading front, still working on some parenting books and I am currently reading The Three Weissmanns of Westport by Cathleen Schine. It is really funny, a little sad but all together a good read.
Happy Knitting!
Congratulations on finishing the shawl! It is beautiful! Knitting hats on circulars was a revelation for me - I dont know how I didnt pick up on that sooner (rather than suffering through DPNs for the whole darned hat). Cant wait to see the little animals!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your shawl!
ReplyDeleteYour shawl turned out beautifully! I had to persevere for ages til I became friends with circular needles (investing in some good ones really helped). Now I use them all the time!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely shawl! I hope you get a lot of use out of it on your vacation!
ReplyDeleteA lovely shawl, such a pretty colour :-)
ReplyDeleteknice knitting! I really like your finished shawl...Ive been working on one all summer, but not hard enough! and I like the hat color. I really enjoy circular needles and have a christmas stocking going on one right now, along with the sweater that the yarn is bumpy and makes my hands ache if I knit more than a couple of rows at a time. I didnt get my week off this summer to indulge my away from home knitting and have been doing quite a bit of quilting. Its all good, but I feel like a stranger with my knitting!!
