Yarn Along
Joining Ginny from Small Things
I just started a free pattern from Lion Brand Yarn. It is called Shoreline Lace Shawl. I just thought it was so beautiful and a bit complex for my novice knitting hands. But I am happy to report and show that is turning out quite well. I wonder why I can grasp this complex pattern but flounder over a simple one. My knitting aura must have been off last week. I really love the color of yarn, Lake. I will be starting a ballet bag for my daughter this week. She is starting dance in the fall and I thought it would be an appropriate gift. I was a student of ballet for 20 years and a dancer for a short period of time before my husband swept me up and carried me off for a life with the Navy. Alas, I digress, we just went to the library last night and as you can tell by the stack of books I am ready for the some reading. Happy Knitting! Cheers! |
I am always amazed at how my mind cannot wrap itself around certain patterns, but others are a breeze. Your scarf looks like it has found a happy recipient. The new one is gorgeous. Enjoy your summer reading stack!
