Father's Day Weekend & Monday Musings
Today is a two part blog...
*Monday Musings*
I am....
enjoying: the girls playing peacefully after sleeping in this morning! Yay!
drinking: a cup of coffee
reading: Unnatural Acts by Stuart Woods. I don't usually read mysteries but I was due for a change
baking/cooking: banana bread and homemade roasted red pepper marinara sauce today
creating: still working on my first quilt but I have got two side projects shaping up along with a basket of knitting
thinking: about the visitors who are headed our way in the next month. Both of my brothers and their respective significant others will be visiting us this summer.
praying: for peace. Especially for those friends of ours who are going through trials of life.
happy: that we finally met all our neighbors and they are simply wonderful. Blessed to live near kind people.
Happy Monday!

Now, our Father's Day Weekend. We had really wonderful weekend. James is an amazing dad to our girls and I am blessed to have him my life. My own dad is also an amazing man who has taught me the value of hard work along with compassion and kindness for others. I am happy that my girls will grow up with similar experiences and create memories of childhood.
We had a great weekend filled with a little work and a lot of fun. Friday was beach day...
Saturday, we had a yard sale and sold almost everything we put out! What a success and I am happy to see other use what we do not instead of filling landfills with our unwanted things. We went out to a fancy dinner on Saturday night to Mitchell's Fish Market. Nothing like good food. Topped the evening with wine on the patio.
Sunday was Father's Day. I made a nice breakfast for James and we enjoyed the day by relaxing and having fun. The night was topped off by a visit to our favorite park on the river. A really special weekend with the family.
