Yarn Along
Joining Ginny from Small Things
Today, I am still working on my Sweetie Scarf Pattern from Jumper Cables Knitting by Annie Lee using Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend. I would be further along but I just couldn't get with the pattern last week but I finally got the hang of it. It is such a simple pattern but my brain just wasn't connecting to my fingers. I am excited to finally make something for myself.
These days I dividing my time with reading several new and different things. First, some non-fiction/research reading, Raising Your Spirited Child Rev Ed: A Guide for Parents Whose Child Is More Intense, Sensitive, Perceptive, Persistent, and Energetic by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka. Second, a piece of fiction, Not the End of the World by Kate Atkinson. Lastly, The Food Network Magazine caught my eye the other day in the check out line. I'm not sure how I am keeping it all straight but somehow I am.
What are you working on these days?
I cant wait to make something for myself!
ReplyDeleteIt is always so nice to knit something up for yourself, cant wait to see it on you :)
ReplyDeleteI read Raising your spirited child a few years back when my oldest was in Kindergarten. It was recommended to me by a child and youth worker my son had to see because his teacher thought he may have an anxiety disorder (in kindergarten). It really was a good book, and made me realize that some things just ARE a big deal to some people...you know, like seams in socks. His grade two teacher asked to borrow it and I never did get it back...it might be worth a re-read as he approaches his 13th birthday. Thanks for reminding me.
