Catching Up...

I've been on a blog vacation this past week. I have caught up on a lot of work that was put on hold when we moved and now seemed like the perfect time to catch up. I always have a long list of "to do's" hanging on my refrigerator but I always find something better to do ( mostly playing with the girls).

Here's a sneak peak into what I've been doing...

I recently bought this book called The Essential Herbal for Natural Health :How to transform easy to find herbs into herbal remedies for the whole family. (written by Holly Bellebuono) I organized the newly bought herbs and picked out a few easy starter recipes for the family. I am excited to natural herbs to cure and sooth little mind and body aliments.

the little garden is growing and changing daily. A little weeding and soil turning  helps the garden and gets us  outside to enjoy the cool temperatures. The hot southern summers will be here before we know it.

This book is one of the best books I have bought in a long time...

early summer storms call for a fort being built in the living room to ward off the thunder and lightening.

Ce-Ce's birthday dress from Oliver +  S  pattern  "Ice Cream Dress"
A really easy to follow pattern and it turned out so well. I think we'll have to make another  in the near future.

My new sewing space. We transformed the front room into a study/sewing room. I  love this room with its morning light and windows. I bought some John William Waterhouse posters so give it a peacefully feel. I think this is the perfect place to start up my etsy shop.

Craft closet is now organized. Well, somewhat organized....

I made some pillows for the new front room.

Our quiet reading space. Everyone in the family enjoys the space even  our pup, Scooter!
