Valentine's Day Swap

This year I decided to participate in a Valentine's Day Swap courtesy of the blog, Natural Suburbia. (check it out!) I had the privilege to swap with a great mama of two from Australia who hosts the beautiful blog, Happy Whimsical Hearts. We were all excited when our package arrived yesterday and we waited until lunch so everyone could enjoy it at the table.

Inside we found a lovely note, some yummy chocolates, a little handmade gnome and its home, and a hand inked teacup and saucer. I have to admit that I was having one of those days and this package just brightened my day. Later that evening, I realized how fortunate we were as a family to connect with another family across the globe. It makes our world just a little bit warmer when we make connections like this one. Sometimes as a mama I lose track of the outside world and I feel like I am the only one who is balancing a home and family while trying to start up my own little handmade business but then I meet someone who is doing the same thing and I don't feel like I am the only one. Plus, who doesn't love a little mail that isn't bills or commercial junk.
