Peaceful Evenings

Another weekend came and went with the blind of an eye. After our first daughter was born and we moved I began to read a lot about the Slow Family Movement and I was hooked. I sometimes wonder if there are other families out there like us and after some searching I have found kindred spirits. I know they enjoy my writings as I enjoy their writings. Whenever I feel lonely for kindred spirits I just hop online and read a couple posts and feel instantly better. Very inexpensive therapy if I do say so.

This weekend we enjoyed a community yard sale with our neighbors, did some much needed food shopping, napped, cooked, played, and watched some football. ( Yes, our team lost. We are die-hard Ravens fans) Generally, enjoyed time together as a family. I think that is what it is all about, just enjoying the moment. But with that being said, we were off in a flash on Monday morning. Errands wait for no man. But even in the midst of an errand to a used bookstore to sell some books and buy some new ones we found a quiet moment to enjoy our children..And as the day draws to a close and the little ones enjoy quiet time of drawing while listening to Loreena McKennitt I can't help but feel content and at peace.
