Chaos is the name of the game
Like the post title says, chaos is the name of the game these days. We always find about a million things to do on a weekly basis especially since I took a part time job assisting the Chapel on base. Needless to say, when God calls you to do something it isn't always a quiet whisper. So, I happily accept more work knowing that is for the good of a whole community. It also helps to work with kind people.
On the home front, this week was filled with changing into fall/winter mode. I started by cleaning closets which always becomes this long process of manic cleaning, sorting, throwing, and keeping. I am a "pitcher" whereas my husband is a "keeper", meaning that I fill bags with goodwill items and my husband will turn around and keep the bags!
Then I had the brilliant idea of turning the playroom into a multi-purpose studio for me and playroom for the girls. It seems that everyone likes this arrangement much better. I can sew and the girls can play plus the light in great in the room so my poor eyes aren't always straining to see. I finally finished the Halloween costumes ( well-- almost...I need to make a wand) and now it is onto birthday projects for my husband.
Happily, we do stop to smell the roses and have several days filled with afternoon walks, finger painting, acorn gathering ( our eldest likes to collect acorns for the "mice" aka squirrels), and snuggling evenings on the sofa reading books.
Cheers for Autumn! Now off to finish my Christmas Ornament for an International Christmas Ornament Swap brought to us by Natural Suburbia Blog. A delightful blog, I might add!
