Monday: A Weekend in Review
:: Monday: A Weekend in Review ::
The girls wanted waffles this morning and it was a great idea. Now that summer is here I like to ease into Monday mornings since we have a fluid schedule. I can sit and enjoy my coffee while they eat some yummy waffles. We have A LOT happening in the next 2 weeks before our move and I am pretending like it isn't going to be a bit chaotic. I think today I will start putting our moving binder together. I like to keep track of my to do list and all the paperwork during a move. Making lists helps me keep my patience and sanity. I think I will procrastinate another day before really buckling down.
Our weekend was lovely. We enjoyed grilled pizza on Friday night under the stars. I started knitting a little baby gift for a friend who is having a baby in October. Saturday morning we had a yard sale and enjoyed some time outside. I made a set of curtains for my new kitchen in our new house. Sunday was went to Mass and then did some grocery shopping. The rest of the day was spent relaxing and playing with the girls. Overall, it was just a quiet little weekend in Georgia. Only 2 more left and I think next weekend we will spend visiting some of our favorites places one last time.
It is a bit sad to leave a place but it is also exciting to be moving to a new place ( or in this case back home). There will be so much to do and see after being away for 7 years. I am looking forward to crisp cool falls, cold winters, and green springs of Maryland. I will miss the South and its timeless nature. But I am sure we'll be back again so it isn't good-bye just see you later.
I enjoyed every time we moved. I think my overall excitement of new possibilities overrode the sadness of saying goodbye. Have fun two weeks and have a save move :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your last two weeks in Georgia, and good luck with all the moving preparations.
