Yarn Along
Joining Ginny of Small Things
Hello! I've finished one baby bootie in this sweet soft pink yarn and I am working on bootie number 2 that I should finish tonight. I bought some little pearl buttons for them and then it is time to be boxed up and shipped off to China! ( If you're reading this Andrea, then surprise!) They are really very cute little slippers for baby and they make me want to knit more of them. I don't know why I never knitted pairs for my girls but the next baby in this house will be outfitted in several pairs. I am still chugging along on the shawl. I almost thought about quitting it because I just got tired of it but I am renewed so back to it I go. It needs to measure 64' inches long and that is a lot of knitting! The ballet bag is almost finished too. So, I am actively seeking out new projects. It's weird how knitting has become my little obsession.
.I finished my book, Big Stone Gap. It was quite good and I think I will have to pick up another one of her books next time I'm at the library. I always have to take a few days break before starting a new book so I can digest the old one. So, I am filling my time with a "new" knitting book. Weekend Knitting: 50 Unique Projects and Ideas by Melanie Falick. Everything is cute! I also found this magazine, Jane Austen Knits and I could hardly believe my eyes. Two of my favorite things: knitting and Austen. I love it!
Happy Knitting!
Ooooh cute bootie! I can never see enough of those =)
ReplyDeleteI love little booties! And I think knitting is a great obsession :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling bootie! Ive never been brave enough to tackle one myself. Please do share if you knit something from Austen Knits! Ive been eyeing the patterns on Ravelry since it came out last year.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, how SWEET! I made some like that several years ago - in blue - for my son Louis.
ReplyDeleteIm back :) Such a cute little bootie. Knitting is a really great obsession, I think it is becoming that way over here too.
ReplyDeleteBooties are such sweet little things with a practical use. Enjoy all of the knitting and reading.
