Tea for Two

Today, we started a new tradition in our home. The late afternoon gives way to the bewitching hour where everyone becomes heavy with a sleepy feeling. However, my beloved three year old has proved that she is getting a little old for naps unlike her baby sister who happily sleeps in the afternoon. So, we came to a compromise mostly because I am tired and would love to put my feet up for a little while before we get down to work again in the evening. We have a quiet reading or knitting hour with tea! I made us Chai Tea this afternoon and we snuggled on the couch to read and knit. Yes, it was about 95 degrees outside but let's face it, a true tea addict knows tea is good any time! It was just a nice time to share with my oldest gal. I think this might be the beginning of a beautiful tradition.
