:: Weekend ::

Pumpkin doughnuts. Washing windows. Birthday parties. Quick trips to fabric store. Sewing. Homeschool Organization.

{ Disclaimer: our weekend did not go as planned due to work issues which required James to be at work some of the weekend. Hopefully next weekend will be full of picnics, pumpkins, and no work!}

Yarn Along

:: Yarn Along ::

Joining Ginny of Small Things

Let me start by saying that I have completed neglected my blog this week. But today is a new day and I am going to change that. Lately, I have been preoccupied with a million other little things. Changing clothes for the new season, revamping our homeschooling because we are having a hard time finding that "rhythm" everyone talks about, and the impending holiday seasons. So, I just need to breathe and focus my energy on what is really important at this moment. Knitting allows me to center myself and just focus on the moment.

Here's what I have been working on and reading lately...

I'm reading The Lost Hours by Karen White and I picked up a book on Waldorf education. I would like to incorporate those ideas into our "schooling"

I finished this bookmark for myself last week and forgot to post it. I love it! Guess who is getting one for Christmas? EVERYONE!

James ( my hubby) has a birthday at the end of the month. He wanted a scarf and he even picked out the yarn. So, a basket weave  scarf it is!

Still working on Ce-Ce's Christmas gift. Only to realize that I must have misread the directions because two diamonds are touching and they aren't supposed to. Grr...oh well, it will have "character". I am a novice knitter!

Happy Knitting!

PS: I see a lot of people have great banners on their blogs with multiple pictures in it. How do you do that? I am not computer savvy.
